TerrainGen

TerrainGen, created by Entar and painQuin, is a terrain generator that exports a .map file, either randomly or based on a grayscale .pgm file. It is capable of exporting .map files for Quake1 or Quake3 map editors.

Command Line Parameters

Example Usage:

  terraingen.exe -filename <filename> -image <image name> -size <#> -pointsize <#> -points <#> -q3

-filename: name of the file to be created (.map is automatically added)

-image: name of .pgm file to generate from (.pgm is automatically added) (optional)

-size: multiplier on size of terrain (defaults to 1)

-pointsize: size of terrain points (defaults to 200)

-points: number of terrain points (defaults to 30)

-q3: export .map files of Quake3 format (no value required)

-old: access to oldstyle terrain generator
